For more than a decade, Mindy Waitsman has helped associations deal with understanding and executing the roles of the Board of Directors, covenant violations, outdated documents, major service or repair contracts, government compliance and transitioning associations from developer to owner control.
As former in-house counsel for such Fortune 500 companies as Federated Department Stores and Kodak, Ms. Waitsman brings significant business experience to advising condominium, cooperative and homeowner associations.
In the Profession
A respected author and dynamic speaker, Ms. Waitsman has been a frequent guest speaker at Community Associations Institute (CAI) events, including the ABC’s Course: A Basic Course for Association Leaders and the CAI Legal Forum. Topics presented by Ms. Waitsman include Rule Enforcement and Safety and Security Issues for Community Association. Ms. Waitsman has also spoken at the Lorman Seminar entitled “Special Issues for Condominium and Homeowner’s Associations in Georgia” seminar, during which she presented the Fundamentals of Association Insurance segment.
In the Community
For many years, Ms. Waitsman has volunteered with CAI, serving as chair of the program committee and as a member of the golf committee, to provide quality events and seminars for community associations.
She also is active in charitable groups, serving as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Lekotek of Georgia, a 501 (c) 3 organization that seeks to include children with special needs into their families and communities.
